Toyota is recalling more than two million cars in the US over fears of sticking accelerator pedals, just months after another major problem affected massive numbers.

I'm guessing but, assuming I understand the issue, it sounds like a bottom bracket issue. I don't know what type of bottom bracket you have, so it's difficult to be precise. But I assume you either hit something with one of the cranks, forcing it to rotate on the bottom bracket spindle (it was probably already a bit loose), or the cranks became loose and have rotated on the spindle. If you are lucky you can loosen the crank and move it back into place on the spindle … but more likely you have rounded off the spindle end and/or the crank mounting hole and will need a new bottom bracket and/or at least one crank arm.
Since bottom brackets are designed NOT to do this I can't imagine how you managed … but, take it to a local bike shop and get a pro opinion.
I think the one where Robert Scoble gave away money easily beats this one, but this post has staying power.
They want it to sound like an old time glitchy 50 pound analog unit on the verge of instability. Good stuff.
Not really. Racing is dangerous so you have to go all the way. My dad raced stock cars for 30 years and he was broke all the time! He loved it though.

I believe they are called Nike "Air Raids". I'm not sure why they stopped making them, but they seem pretty cool. Maybe this website can help you.

A good set of car mats is one of the most unappreciated accessories for your car. They protect your carpets, dry your shoes, keep your feet steady on the pedals and add comfort and luxury to your daily drive.

Do medical research, like talking to a doctor. Most types of healthy vitamins (energy drinks are NOT healthy) do not have bad effects in large doses, but there are some types of vitamins that accumulate and tell the cells in your body to shut down production of needed vitamins related to the vitamin you are taking. So for instance if you stopped drinking that drink all of a sudden after drinking more than one a day, then the other chemicals in your body related to B12 like methylcobalamin or adenosylcobalamin, will drop sharply and sometimes cause some sort of withdrawl (these and B12 are also related to folic acid productions which in females is a neccesity for creating children). It is only unhealthy if you drink more than one energy drink a day (any kind usually). Be aware that 90% of 'energy drinks' are about 90% sugar and caffeine, the rest are additives that are not natural to the body and the body will require more of the unnatural chemical.
Out of that 4000%, your body will use up energy to break it down for other uses, and in the end it will be at a concentration of about 200%. Not too sure if the math is right, so talk to a doctor about what you put into your body, especially women.

i know what your saying, i agree,
and whats with riding side by side on windy roads, chatting away at 15 mph while your trying to get somewhere????
only the diehard cyclists do that, they see it as their right i guess.
You can do the same exercises as anyone else does.
‘The thing that strikes me is the simplicity of the process. Metal parts are stamped out and heat-treated, flat pieces of leather are soaked and then formed in molds and the parts are all assembled by hand. After seeing how much work goes into a single bike seat, these famously expensive saddles start to look cheap. Follow along for a tour of the factory.’

1st answer is good. There are about 10 bike "types" very similar in the fitness, cross, commute, comfort etc category. If you like the fitness type they are usually some of the lighter faster models.
I understand your concern about a road bike, I've ridden them for decades and know how people feel about them. and they truly do have a limited use. That's why I have a few bikes…
A fitness bike is just that – for someone (like you) not into road bikes but wants to be able to ride hard and fast in a more upright position.
Giant FCR series looks pretty good to me. Check out some others but the Giant is a good quality bike and may be a good choice for what you want now.

My husband and I have done a number of tours–not cross country yet, such as riding the length of the Florida Keys, the Katie Trail, the trails across Wisconsin including Sparta-Elroy tunnel trails (first "rails to trails" in the country) and other trips ranging from 200-700 miles. We take our time though and rarely ride more than 60-70 miles per day,, and usually go "credit card camping", meaning at night, we whip out a credit card to pay for the hotel room. Being as we usually only go for a week or 2 at a time (haven't been able to take more time off work yet), we often find it easier to figure out where we'll be staying in advance, and mail clean clothes to ourselves for our arrival, along with prepreparing the labels to ship the dirty ones back home. Eliminates having to do laundry on the road or having to pack extra clothes.
A Brook's saddle? Yeah, very popular for touring bikes, but it's just a strip of leather, and can be really painful until properly broken in, for several months before attempting a cross-country ride.
If you'll be going down any mountains or steep hills, I recommend panniers over trailers as several bikers have been killed when their trailer jack-knifed or started dog tracking while going downhill. Biking jerseys, tights, and other biking gear is really a good idea–and they dry fast! I never thought I'd be wearing those padded tights, but now I don't wear anything else–along with always carrying arm and leg warmers which are easy to carry and slide on or off as needed for early morning or late night riding.
Flashing tail lights–to minimize the risk of getting rear ended, and really good headlights–because you never know when you might get stuck having to ride at night, in bad weather, fog, rain, or even snow–I've hit properly parked cars that I just couldn't see in time because the weather was so bad.
At least 1 extra tire and several spare tubes–it's far easier to replace a tube on the road than to repair it–and CO2 cartridges take up less room and so much nicer than handpumping. Also a "multitool" to tighten anything that comes loose. The rest of my "emergency repair" kit consists of a cell phone and GPS.
GPS devices are pretty cheap now, and incredibly helpful on the road, especially those with preprogrammed "points of interest" listing all the closest restaurants, gas stations, and hotels. Even better if you can program in your own, as you can with the "Garmin Nuvi" series–I preprogram in all the Bike shops and Starbucks along the way.
You may also want to consider a recumbent bike, as we've met a lot of cross-country riders who have made the switch to these. They're simply faster than ANY traditional frame, and you can easily cruise along at 30 miles per hour on one. They're also easier on your back, arms and hands, and once you get used to them, they're really comfortable to ride. I'd recommend one of the higher ones as the low riders can be more hazardous on the road–lack of visibility.
Oh, and even cross-country, I ride my tiny Airborne Titanium racing bike, which is slightly modified to be uber comfy and so light weight, it practically walks up the hills all by itself. All I carry is my underseat repair kit, 2 water bottles and a small handlebar bag with all my gear–along with credit cards and proper planning, that's all I've needed. Well, my husband carries a little more usually, but not much.
Enjoy your trip!
Hmm, I haven't had experience with electric violins, but i have with pedals. You will definitely need an amp and speakers.
I don't know about violins, but with guitars you have two kinds of amp/speaker choices:
One is where you can buy and amp which can be plugged into any speaker, with this you can mix and match, but the equipment is hard to transport.
Or you can get a combo, which is an amp and speaker in one, this way is much neater but your stuck with your amp and speaker.
As for plugs, you'll have a cord running from you violin, into a pedal (left side) then a separate cord will come out the other side and into any other plugs and into the amp.
Hope this helps

Silly. As expected from Monty Python. :O
indeed.
cut them where they meet the shirt in the back,
and then sew them so they are shorter.
would you happen to have “john salley”?
First regardless if they are good tires or bad tires replace them. Kevlar tires are what they are just barely tires just tube coverings and these tires dry-rot easily (We Roadies replace our tires yearly). As for the Air pump go to Dick's sporting goods for a Avenir air pump($20). I swear by it and the company is the same as Raleigh bikes. When you buy one get a pump with a twin pump head(Schrader & Presta) for versatility when pumping up ! Most Important read the side wall for max psi and AVOID GAS STATION AIR PUMPS they fill by volume NOT just air pressure ! Pump up by hand you wouldn't see Lance filling up his $6000 carbon fiber bike at BP would you ?

happy for you
