1. The Raveonettes are NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT shoegaze. MBV, yes. (See also: Slowdive, Ride, Spacemen 3, etc.)
2. Kevin Shields of MBV uses a pretty secretive collection of homemade gear and pedals and rise upwards of at least 40 pedals a show. HOWEVER you should probably invest in a good delay pedal, reverb unit, some graphic EQ and tons of distortion.
