The MKS Sylvan Touring pedals are an excellent product. Far better quality than any similar looking pedals carried by any of my local bike shops. Their style is based on very similar touring pedals popular many decades ago. Steel axle with an all-alloy body and cage plates. These are very nicely finished and offer a good wide platform for wide feet, casual or athletic shoes and skate shoes as well as modern MTB style cycling shoes which you can also use – but without their usual SPD cleats.
I have recently taken to riding without modern MTB or Road style clipless pedals – and even without older style toe-clips and straps on some bikes. These fit my needs extremely well. They are attractive enough to use on a cherished Vintage bike and would look equally at home on your modern $3,000 Rivendell bike as well.
These are an excellent choice for a commuter bike where you may not want to bother with toe-clips and straps, and they will even work well wearing construction boots. Whereas your old school Campagnolo quill-style racing pedals were designed for toe-clips and had one proper side of the pedal to accept your shoe, these are double-sided so you can plant your shoe or (even sandal) comfortably to which ever side it lands on. That’s something I really appreciate – no more fussing to correctly position the pedal when frequently stopped at traffic lights. A nice alternative to either more bulky BMX style pedals or the cheap and poorly made plastic pedals more commonly available.
The bearings which these use (simple loose balls) can be serviced if this is ever needed. The threaded alloy dust cover on the end of the pedal will remove using a vintage Campagnolo pedal tool [catalogue item #710] and although still quite uncommon in the US, MKS also makes their own (similar) small serrated wrench to remove the dust caps. – I recently found those available from http://www.velo-orange.com (selling for $12.50). In a pinch, you can also use a slip-joint pliers, but I think these pedals are really too nice to tear up.
The bearings may feel a bit tight as factory set. So, you can either adjust them or just leave them as they are and they will soon seat themselves for a smoother feel. Personally, I did open up my pedals as soon as they were received, adjusted the bearing cones and added a bit of grease… but, that’s just because I’m a bit fussy and obsessive about such things.
These pedals should last for many thousands of pleasant cycling miles. For the price and overall quality they are one of the best cycling bargains around.
I bought a pair of these pedals to replace the ones originally fitted to the old Miyata tourer I was building up. Those original ones were either Sylvan Road (according to Sheldon Brown) or early AR-2 (according to the markings). The key “feature”, though, was that they’re single-sided, instantly turning upside down the moment one’s foot comes off them!
These new pedals are double-sided and therefore do not have that idiotic, distracting problem. They’re also slightly wider, which is helpful when trying to keep one’s heels clear of the rear panniers.
The only problem I have with them, and the reason I give 4 rather than 5 stars, is that there’s no indication of how to get the dust caps off to service the bearings, which were rather dry when shipped to me and haven’t improved since. Regrettably, the vendor couldn’t tell me how to remove the caps either except to suggest brute-forcing them off with a screwdriver, something I’m not inclined to do.
werd !!!… Story mad one sided .,
there are two types of drain kits for a double bowl sink. it depends where your drain hole is as to which kit will be best. The hook up lines should be the same, because the faucet should not move
they havent ever spoken about it a legitimate interview but karen once said that he touched her inappropriately backstage…
She’s hilarious and pretty.

I agree with u, looks like it ur booster. With help from someone, u can know it; while u press the pedal, ask someone to listen at the booster, if the booster made a windy noise, then u need to replace the rubber of the booster. I believe, if the master or central is the problem, ur pedal will always go to the floor and u need to pump it to raise the pedal even only for a while.
The throttle linkage probably needs lubrication and/or your throttle cable may be corroded and need replacement. The throttle linkage is attached to the throttle body by the throttle cable. If some JB-80 or similar spray lubricant on the linkage doesn't correct the problem you might need a new cable.

I totally know what you mean, I saw it and was like "Seriously?"
Saying that during summer your going to /lose/ two months of information is simply absurd. Though you may begin to forget it, it's never really lost persay.
All you need is a quick refresher when school starts up again and most kids are fine.
The subconcious is a powerful thing to say the least and stores way more information and uses said information a lot more then most people think. I think that commercial is just taking advantage of the mass populace who will believe everything that anyone tells them.
I love my Mini Cooper Clubman–and it’s truly a 4 person car….sporty–fun as hell to drive and 33mpg–and the kid gets in and out easily from the back with the extra door. They are also releasing a 4 door “crossover” called the countryman next year and it looks awesome!
will you be touring as far as New Zealand in the future?
It might help if you said which country you are in, but if you are talking about the UK then you need to look at the road marking section of the Highway Code…

This song is simply too much. I can listen to it over and over.

true and it sucks more dirt to, ik tune cars 4 a livin and know that oem airboxes from bmw are best not replaced. got an e39 m5 and did tests and its go better with the original airboxes. Most of the time tuners ad it to get the price a little higher.
The hole point of the video was to show that electrons have ‘particle-wave’ duality. Just like photons. This expiriment has been repeated with dense molecules containing 60 whole carbon atoms (buckyballs) and yielded the same result. ALL MATTER exists as the superposition of possible quantum positions.
