Not long ago I participated in a bicycling tour which began with an inspection of all bikes. The bike mechanic said mine "auto pedals", meaning when my bike is on a stand and the back wheel is spinning, the pedals slowly turn on their own.

It seems me this is caused by some resistance in the rear hub when freewheeling. Is this a problem? Will it lead to a bigger problem?
